Website building
We build all of our sites using WordPress. The design process may vary slightly based upon the web package you purchase. For example, an e-commerce site will include more sections and introduce products, payment gateways etc.
Below is a basic example timeline of the process in which we build your site. This will also show you the features that come standard within our packages.
Planning

Making a website takes a lot of communication. This stage details the first steps in determining main points of contact, and ensures that the site will be built according to your desired outcome.
Hosting

To start a website you must have two things. Firstly, you need a domain, this is the address of the site (such as www.mindthebrand.co.uk). Secondly, your site needs a hosting server (metaphorically the house). If we build your website for you, we can host your website for you for £50/year. If you already have a hosting/domain provider, we can still build your site.
Brand & Identity

If you haven’t yet worked with us on your business branding and identity, here is where we would cover the topic. We will organise your brand materials, logos, icons and strategy so that we get the right feel of your business across to your customers. It’s important to us that your website is an extension of your company’s brand.
Content

Once we’re confident that we’re on the same page about the desired product, we will begin construction of the website. Writing the content and uploading the media will likely involve a lot of back-and-forth communication, but this is the most exciting part.
Optimisation

Having built the core of the site, we will ensure that it looks just as stunning on all devices. Here we will also check on the quality and responsivity of the content.
Security

See that little padlock in the top left of the address bar? That is called your SSL. Without it customers lose trust in your site and most payment gateways for e-commerce won’t work. Most hosting providers charge you for SSL, but we include it free if you host with us. On top of this, we will add extra layers of security so that your site and your customer’s data is safe from malicious attacks.
Contact Forms

For many businesses, the primary focus of a website is a place for customers to find and contact them. This is why we make sure that they have many ways of contacting you throughout the site, and that any emails sent to you or by you via any contact forms on the site function properly and don’t go into spam.
SEO

What is the use of having contact details on a website if no one can find it? Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is what helps tools such as Google find you. This is an ongoing process with future content you put on the site, but we’ll guide you through how to do it best.
Social Media

In the process of improving your SEO, we will ensure that you have visible and functional links to all other online areas of your business. This would primarily be any social media pages you have.
Extras

To ensure maximum functionality of your site, there will likely be a few extra plugins and features that will need to be added.
Tutorial Sessions

We don’t want to hand over a website to you if you’re not comfortable with how to navigate and operate it. We will give you an over-the-phone tutorial to guide you through everything you need to know.
